Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Rescue Engineers ("we," "us," "our") collects when you visit rescueengineers.ai or contact us through it, why, and what rights you have over that information. Rescue Engineers is a senior engineering firm that helps founders and companies secure, finish, take over, and scale AI-built applications.

1. What we collect
We collect information in two ways: what you give us directly, and what your browser sends automatically.
Information you give us
- Contact form (/contact/): name, email address, company or app URL, which AI tool built your app, a free-text description of the problem, and an urgency selection.
- Newsletter sign-up (on select blog posts): email address only.
- Direct email: anything you send to hello@rescueengineers.ai, including any files or code excerpts you choose to share.
Information collected automatically
- Server / access logs, generated by our hosting provider (Vercel) for every request: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages requested, and timestamps. This is standard web-server logging, not a tracking script we add.
We do not currently run any analytics platform, advertising pixel, or third-party tracking script on this site. If that changes, this policy and the cookie section below will be updated first.
2. Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
- To respond to you · contact form and email submissions are used solely to evaluate and reply to your inquiry. Lawful basis: legitimate interest in operating our business, and steps taken at your request prior to a possible contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)/(f)).
- To send the newsletter · if you sign up, your email is used only to send the content you asked for. Lawful basis: consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)); every email carries an unsubscribe link.
- Server logs · kept for security, abuse prevention, and diagnosing technical issues. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
3. Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent your information, ever. We use the following subprocessors to run this site and business:
- Vercel Inc. · hosts this website and processes standard server/access logs described above.
- Formspree · processes contact-form and newsletter submissions and forwards them to our inbox. [CONFIRM] The contact and newsletter forms on this site are currently wired to a placeholder Formspree endpoint that is not yet active. Before this site goes live, connect a real Formspree (or equivalent) account, and update this section if a different form processor is used instead.
- Our email provider · hosts the hello@rescueengineers.ai inbox where your messages and any replies are stored.
- AI tools · see Section 4 below.
We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Rescue Engineers, our clients, or others.
4. Our use of AI
Rescue Engineers uses AI tools, including Anthropic's Claude, as part of how we run this business: drafting and researching content, reviewing and writing code, and helping triage and draft replies to inbound inquiries.
- What AI touches your data: if you submit a contact-form message or email us, the content of that message may be reviewed with the assistance of an AI tool to help us understand and draft a response. No fully automated system decides whether to take you on as a client, prices your engagement, or replies to you without a human reading it first.
- Model training: our AI vendors' standard commercial terms state that content submitted through their business/API products is not used to train their underlying models by default, and we have not opted into any different arrangement. [VERIFY] Confirm current Anthropic (and any other AI vendor) data-use/training terms before relying on this statement, as vendor terms can change.
- Opting out / reaching a human: if you'd prefer your inquiry not be processed with any AI assistance, say so in your message or email hello@rescueengineers.ai and a person will handle it manually.
- This site's content: some of the content, code, and design on rescueengineers.ai was produced with AI-assisted tools. Every published page is reviewed by a human before it ships.
5. Cookies and local storage
This site does not set tracking cookies and does not currently use any analytics, advertising, or social-media tracking technology. Because of that, we do not run a cookie-consent banner. There is nothing here that legally requires one today.
This site does not write anything to cookies, localStorage, or any other browser storage. Nothing is stored on your device by us, so there is nothing here to identify or track you with.
If we ever add analytics or advertising technology, this section and a consent mechanism (including honoring Global Privacy Control signals) will be added before that technology goes live, not after.
6. How long we keep it
We keep contact-form and email submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to you and evaluate a potential engagement, and we delete or anonymize them when they're no longer needed for that purpose or upon your request, whichever comes first. Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider on its standard rolling schedule for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
We are a small, single-operator business without an automated data-deletion pipeline today; deletion requests are handled by hand. See Section 7 for how to make one.
7. Your rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you and where it came from;
- Access a copy of it;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete it ("right to erasure" / "right to delete");
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive it in a portable format;
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, so there is no "opt out of sale/sharing" link to provide.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@rescueengineers.ai with the subject line "Privacy Request." We will verify your identity as best we can for a small business (typically by replying to the email address on file) and respond within 30 days. EU/UK residents also have the right to lodge a complaint with their local data protection authority.
8. International transfers
Rescue Engineers operates from the United States, and our hosting and processing subprocessors (Vercel, Formspree, our AI and email vendors) may process data in the United States or other countries. If you are located outside the US, your information may be transferred to and processed in a country with different data-protection laws than your own. [VERIFY] Confirm each subprocessor's current cross-border transfer mechanism (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) before representing a specific safeguard to an EU/UK visitor.
9. Children's data
This site and our services are directed at businesses and professional founders, not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Security
This site is served entirely over HTTPS with HSTS enforced, and sends standard hardening headers (content-type sniffing protection, clickjacking protection, a strict referrer policy, and a locked-down permissions policy) on every response. We never collect payment card information on this site. Any paid engagement is invoiced and paid through a separate, PCI-compliant payment processor, not through this website. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not store information beyond what's described above, and we keep the surface area small on purpose.
11. Changes to this policy
If we materially change what we collect, why, or who we share it with, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for anyone on our newsletter, note the change in an email. We encourage checking back periodically.
